Paolo C. Gheorghiu founded Swiss Relief in 2020 to address urgent humanitarian needs during the COVID-19 pandemic. What began as emergency meal distribution in Turin, Italy, with 60 meals a month, has evolved into a strategic approach to sustainable community development. Today, we distribute over 5,000 meals a month in Ecuador and operate a Christmas-time food bank in Italy.

Guided by a deep respect for human dignity and a belief in the power of partnership and opportunity, we work hand in hand with communities to deliver tangible results and lasting impact. We provide essential resources, food, emergency aid, and support toward long-term self-sufficiency, working alongside volunteers and donors to make sure help reaches those who need it most.
