Paolo C. Gheorghiu founded Swiss Relief in 2020 to address urgent humanitarian needs during the COVID-19 pandemic, distributing 60 meals a month in Milan. What began as emergency meal distribution has since grown into a lasting partnership: each Christmas Day, in partnership with the Cottolengo Foundation, we now serve 500 meals in Turin, Paolo's hometown, running the largest Christmas lunch in Northern Italy. Today, we also distribute over 5,000 meals a month in Ecuador.

Guided by a deep respect for human dignity and a belief in the power of partnership and opportunity, we work hand in hand with communities to deliver tangible results and lasting impact. We provide essential resources, food, emergency aid, and support toward long-term self-sufficiency, working alongside volunteers and donors to make sure help reaches those who need it most.
